ON THE ISSUES
Rights & Liberties
Since the pandemic, we have seen the rights of citizens be tarnished and taken away. I believe personal decisions like facial coverings and vaccines should be left up to the individual and never forced.
Importantly, the 2nd amendment has been under attack for some time. As long as I am in office, Wayne County will be a place where our right to bear arms will not be infringed.
Economy
Our County Government has been purchasing real estate that does not benefit our taxpayers, or the county as a whole. It then costs you, the taxpayer, money to maintain. Utilizing my financial background, I want to better the county spending, and cease frivolous spending.
Employment
The employees of Wayne County Government are community oriented and dedicated to serving. Our County employees show an obvious love for Wayne County; this needs to be recognized. This would be through tangible and non-tangible benefits. As commissioner I will ensure that the county employees have a safe and secure facility to work in.
Wayne County Fairgrounds
The Wayne Fairgrounds is home to generations of memories. We as a community need to invest in these memories. The Wayne County Fairgrounds share a large role in celebrating our area agriculture, which is a vital piece of our county. Our fairgrounds can be more than a place for carnival rides and elephant ears. It can be a symbol of our community and its roots. As commissioner I want to improve the fairgrounds facilities and soccer fields so that more individuals can enjoy it and bring in outside events for revenue generations.
